Shell wanted to be the Seeker because of her keen eye and her quick wit. She's the natural choice, as no one can spot code errors in html and JavaScript as quick and she and her eagle eye can. Plus she loves being sneaky, and who better to look for the snitch than a sneaky sneak? *ggl*
Marisa wanted to be the Keeper because she just doesn't think she's quite coordinated enough to be a Chaser. ^_^;; She also thinks Oliver Wood is pretty cool. He's a little crazy, but she enjoys that tendency in people. ^_^
Kris and Stacey are the Beaters because they're loud, obnoxious and slightly violent. We think they live up to the ideals of the famous Weasley Twins of Gryffindor House quite well.
Iria is one of the Chasers because, quite frankly, she tends to be the background support. I mean, really, are any of the Chasers main characters? No. But could you ever win a game without them? No... just look at Ireland's win at the Quidditch World Cup if you don't believe her. While they're necessary, they're the least showy... just like her. ^_- And they get to FLY!
